About me
A little bit about me and how I got here
21 years old, based in North Devon, and building websites for businesses that want something done properly.
I'm 21, based in Bideford, North Devon, and I build websites for small businesses and startups. I got into development the way a lot of people do - by being curious about how things worked, and then realising I actually enjoyed the problem-solving side of it more than almost anything else. Once I started learning to code properly, that was it. I knew it was what I wanted to do.
I trained through the Code Institute's Full Stack Software Development Diploma, accredited by the University of West of Scotland. It gave me a proper grounding in Python, Django, and modern web development - but more importantly, it gave me a structure to actually build things. My early projects were things like Canine Compadre, a dog walking platform, and Maddocks Owlery, a pro bono site for a wildlife conservation project. Both taught me a huge amount about turning an idea into something real that people actually use.
From there I moved into freelancing properly. Kenmart Limited — a building materials supplier here in North Devon — needed a full rebuild of their site, and that became my most technically involved project to date. Around the same time I built out Canine Compadre into a full booking system for Axel, the owner, with Google Calendar integration, automated emails, and a dashboard he can manage himself. Both are live, both are real businesses, and both are clients I still work with.
I'm still early in my career, and I'm honest about that. But I take every project seriously, I don't take on more than I can give proper attention to, and I genuinely care about getting it right. Right now that means a small number of clients, real projects, and constantly improving my craft - and I'm excited to see where that goes from here.
How I work
What you can expect from me
Honest
I'll always tell you what I think — even if that means saying an idea won't work as well as you'd hoped, or that something will take longer than you expected. You'll never be left guessing where a project stands.
Considered
I don't rush. Every decision — from layout to backend structure — is made deliberately, with your business and your users in mind. Good work takes a bit of time, and I'd rather get it right than get it done quickly.
Reliable
If I say I'll do something, I do it. Deadlines, updates, fixes — you won't be chasing me. I take a small number of clients at a time specifically so I can give each project the attention it deserves.

The tools I use
These are the tools I build with day to day — a stack I've chosen because it's fast, reliable, safe, and lets me build things properly without unnecessary complexity.
