Legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This privacy policy explains what information I collect when you use this website, how I use it, and what your rights are. I've written it in plain English because legal jargon helps nobody.
Who I am
This website is operated by Will Hawkins, a freelance web developer based in Bideford, North Devon. If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact me at hello@willhawkins.studio.
What data I collect
The only personal data this site collects is what you choose to submit through the contact form. This includes:
- → Your name
- → Your email address
- → The message you send
- → The type of project you're enquiring about
If you choose to accept cookies, this site uses Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous data about how visitors use the site — pages visited, time spent, and general location (country level). This data is used solely to improve the site. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics. You can decline cookies and the site will work exactly the same.
How I use it
This information you submit through the contact form is used solely to respond to your enquiry. I will not use it to send you marketing emails, share it with third parties, or use it for any other purpose. Your details are sent directly to my inbox and are not stored in a database.
How long I keep it
Your contact details are kept in my email inbox for as long as is necessary to handle your enquiry and any follow-up work. If you'd like your information removed at any point, just email me and I'll delete it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- → Access the personal data I hold about you
- → Ask me to correct any inaccurate data
- → Ask me to delete your data
- → Object to how I'm using your data
To exercise any of these rights, email me at hello@willhawkins.studio.
Changes to this policy
If anything changes about how I handle your data I'll update this page. Nothing will change without good reason.
